We have no association with CHANCE RECORDS or any one in the recording industry. Should you be interested in acquiring albums listed here (all of which are out of print), we suggest you go back to our Label page and see what we have now, (remember we up date all the time so the list will change.)

Chance Record label was begun in September 1950, as an independent label, owned by Art Sheridan. Producing mostly R & B, and doowop harmony groups that were popular at the end of the 1940s, and into the 1950s. First headquarters in the offices of Sheridan's American Record Distributors at 2011 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. Sheridan also owned and operated a pressing plant called Armour Plastics. Sheridan expanded his pressing operation in March 1950 after absorbing the remnants of Egmont Sonderling's Master Records (Swing-Master).

The first Chance label, all on 78s, was black, with a silver rim and silver print, remaining till the middle of 1952. When Chance 45s began appearing, they used a blue background and black print.
