Label started by Richard Bock and Roy Harte in Los Angeles, 1952 as Pacific Jazz, was renamed World Pacific in 1958. World Pacific Records is the record label which distributed Horizon Records from 1960 till 1963.
Horizon Records was started as a Folk and Blues record label by Dave Hubert in 1960. Vee-Jay Records acquired World Pacific in 1963, it also took over the distribution of Horizon.
It was then sold to Liberty Records in 1965.
